I have travelled to many foreign countries, and I stillthink Hong Kong is the best shopping paradise. Its shopping choice is of a few different folds – clothing, watches,CDs, food, beverages, books, and many others. Hong Kong currently has a lot of shopping malls for one to choose from –ranging from the affordable to the most expensive. I would like to introduce “Citygate Outlets”in Tung Chung as my first example. Inthere, multiple brand name shops are situated inside. Just to name a few, “Armani,” “Giordano,” “Burberry,”“Timberland,” which sell outdatedmerchandise at an affordable price. Mysecond example will be “Harbour City Shopping mall” which consists of fashionshops, dining places, sporting stores, and PageOne bookstore. In PageOne, they carry a huge selection ofEnglish books as well as Chinese books. I always buy books without giving a second thought in PageOne as theirEnglish novels are so appealing to me. The third example is to shop around Jordan Road near the MTRstation. There is a big Commercial Presssituated right across Yue Wah Department Store. Their selection of books are huge too. Just right next to the Commercial Press, there is a CityChain watchstore which I bought a “Baby G swimming watch” recently. They have so many watches for me to choosefrom, and it was tough for me to make a final decision. If you are a book lover, look further to theHysan Place in Causeway Bay. The name ofthe bookstore is called “Eslite” which consists of three floors. This is actually my favorite mall to goto. I can buy a cup of coffee and readmy books right outside the bookstore. Ihave said enough about book purchases, now let’s move on to the subject ofclothing. In Tsim Sha Tsui, I can getthe most updated styles of Prada, Calvin Klein, and multifarious clothing. Hong Kong carries not only their locallyproduced goods, but they import a lot of good stuffs from other countries aswell.
